Traffic diversion and ramp closures scheduled for I-75
in Fayette County
Part of the Interstate 75 Rehabilitation project (MP 106 to MP 98)
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 15, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a traffic diversion and ramp closures are scheduled for Interstate 75 in Fayette County. The traffic switch and ramp closures are necessary for final surfacing work to begin.
Work schedules and locations:
Wednesday, July 16 – 7:00 p.m.
- Southbound traffic will be switched from the current alignment (inside shoulder and left/fast lane to the outside shoulder and right/slow lane.
- Traffic will be in this new configuration for approximately two weeks.
Wednesday, July 16 - 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, July 17
- The northbound Entrance Ramp 99 (US 25 onto northbound I-75) will be closed.
Thursday, July 17 - 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, July 18
- The northbound Exit Ramp 99 (northbound I-75 onto US 25) will be closed.
Note: Mile point 98 is the Clay’s Ferry Bridge at the Madison County line.
