Traffic diversion for US 60/Versailles Road and lane closure for Man O War Boulevard are scheduled
The US 60/Versailles Road Rehabilitation Project in Fayette and Woodford Counties
From the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway to KY 4 (New Circle Road)
 
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 19, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a traffic diversion for US 60/Versailles Road and a lane closure for Man O War Boulevard are scheduled.  The traffic switch and lane closure are necessary for Phase III of the project to begin.
 
  • Wednesday, March 20 at 8:00 p.m. - all eastbound traffic on US 60/Versailles Road will be shifted completely against the westbound lanes.  All intersections and entrances will be right turns only. Left turns
will be prohibited at all intersections with these exceptions:
 
Huntertown Road
Pisgah Pike
Shannon Run
Westmorland Road
Rosalie Road
Old Clubhouse Lane
Keeneland Boulevard
 
Truck Traffic – trucks are required to travel in the left lane through the construction limits.
 
A reduced speed limit with double fines is in place for violations that occur within the work zone.
 
Alternate routes – motorists can utilize Interstate 64 and US 421 (Leestown Road)
 
Two lanes of US 60/Versailles Road in each direction are currently open and will remain open.
 
  • Wednesday, March 20 at 8:00 p.m. - the right lane will close on Man O War Boulevard westbound (inner loop) from the airport entrance (Terminal Drive) to Versailles Road.  This lane will remain closed until further notice.
 
 
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
 
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
