Lane closures in effect for I-75 in Scott County
Part of the Interstate 75 Rehabilitation Project for Scott County
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 8, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that the rehabilitation project for Interstate 75 in Scott County is in progress. Construction for Phase I (northbound) is currently in place, with Phase II (southbound) work beginning on Thursday, August 22.
Lane closures are in effect Monday through Friday (twenty-four hours). In addition, closures will also be in effect for some weekends. One to two lanes will remain open at all times for the duration of the project. Appropriate signage and traffic control devices are in place to guide motorists.
The location for the entire project on Interstate 75 is from mile point 125.5 to mile point 134.4. This area is between Exit 126 (the US 62 Exit) and Exit 136 (near the KY 32/Sadieville Exit). The rehabilitation work will continue through August 22, 2013.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the construction area.
