Traffic diversion scheduled for I-75 (southbound) in
Part of Interstate 75 Rehabilitation project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 9, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a traffic diversion is scheduled for Interstate 75 (southbound) in Fayette County. The traffic switch is necessary for rehabilitation work to continue.
Work schedule & location:
- Wednesday, April 9 at 8:00 p.m. – the southbound left (fast) lane will close between mile points 106 and 98 for two weeks.
- Mile point 98 is the Clay’s Ferry Bridge at the Madison County line.
Motorists should expect heavy delays during the time of the traffic switch.
Two lanes will remain open during the traffic switch.
Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to direct motorists through the work zone.
All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
