Closures scheduled for KY 4 (New Circle Road) in
Utility crossing work to be completed by Insight Cable Company
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 10, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary road closures are scheduled for KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Lexington, Fayette County. The closures are necessary for overhead utility crossing work to be completed.
Work will be performed:
- Tuesday, March 12 – 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
The location will be at mile point 0.287 (between the railroad bridge and the US 27/Nicholasville Road Interchange).
- Wednesday, March 13 – 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
The location will be at mile point 14.843 (slightly past Woodhill Drive prior to the US 25/Richmond Road Interchange).
- Tuesday, March 19 – 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
The location will be at mile point 9.324 (the crossing at the KY 922/Newtown Pike Interchange).
The sections of roadway will be closed for periods of 10 minutes (maximum) per crossing. Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the project area.
