Lane closure scheduled for US 27 (Nicholasville Road) in Fayette County
Slope stabilization project for a portion of the slope prior to Lexington Green
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 28, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary lane closure is scheduled for US 27 (Nicholasville Road) in Lexington. The closure is necessary for slope stabilization work to be completed. Channel lining will be placed in the area to stabilize the slope and existing utility pole.
Work schedule and location:
- Wednesday, January 29 - 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. – a lane closure will be in effect at MP 2.412.
The location of the closure on US 27/Nicholasville Road will affect the far right southbound lane at the bridge over New Circle Road.
Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
