Closure scheduled for Greendale Road in Fayette County
Part of the Citation Boulevard Extension Project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary closure is scheduled for a portion of Greendale Road in Lexington. The closure is necessary for the reconstruction of Greendale Road at the Citation intersection.
Work schedule and location:
Friday evening, Nov. 15 - 6:00 p.m. to Monday morning, Nov. 18 at 6:00 a.m.
- The location for the closure on Greendale Road will be between Calendula Road (MP 1.234) to Mulundy Way (MP 1.640).
The road will be in a new configuration when it reopens on Monday morning.
- Leestown Road to locations north of Mulundy Way – motorists can utilize Leestown Road to New Circle Road to Georgetown Road to Spurr Road back to Greendale Road
- Georgetown Road to locations south of Calendula Road – motorists can utilize Georgetown Road to New Circle Road to Leestown Road to Greendale Road
Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the area.
