LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 12, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane and road closures are scheduled for portions of KY 1659 (McCracken Pike) in Woodford County. The closures are necessary for pipe installation and shoulder work to be completed.
- Wednesday, Nov. 13 – 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A lane closure will be in place (one lane will remain open) at mile point 6.8.
The nearest cross street to MP 6.8 is KY 3360 (Grassy Springs Road).
Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic through the area.
- Thursday, Nov. 14 – 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A road closure will be in place at mile point 6.65.
The nearest cross street to MP 6.65 is KY 3360 (Grassy Springs Road).
Appropriate signage will be in place to alert the traveling public of the closure.
- motorists can use KY 1685 (Steel Road) or KY 1681 (Duncan Road) to access KY 1659 (McCracken Pike)
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
