Lane closures scheduled for I-75 in
Fayette and Madison Counties
Repairs to take place on Interstate 75 southbound bridges/overpasses

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 7, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet,
Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures are scheduled
for I-75 southbound bridges/overpasses in Fayette and Madison Counties.  The closures are necessary for pothole repair work to be completed.
 
  • Tuesday, November 12 - 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
 
Fayette County:  Newtown Pike overpass on I-75 southbound – the left (fast) and middle lane will be closed at MP 115 (one lane will remain open at all times)
 
  • Wednesday, November 13 - 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
 
Fayette & Madison Counties:  Clay’s Ferry Bridge on I-75 southbound  – the left (fast) and middle lane will be closed at MP 98 (one lane will remain open at all times)
 
  • Thursday, Nov. 14 – 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
 
Fayette County:  Newtown Pike overpass on I-75 southbound – the right (slow) lane will be closed at MP 115 (one lane will remain open at all times)
 
Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.
 
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
 
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zones and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the areas.
