Interstate Lane closures scheduled for Fayette, Madison and
Testing to be conducted through the National Transportation
Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP)
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 26, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures are scheduled for Fayette, Madison and Woodford Counties. The closures are necessary for surface friction and additional testing to be conducted.
- Fayette & Madison Counties
Monday, Sept. 30 - 7:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m.
One lane will be closed on I-75 southbound at the Clay’s Ferry Bridge (MP 98 to 97.5).
Tuesday, October 1 - 7:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m.
One lane will be closed on I-64 eastbound (MP 61 to MP 62.5).
Wednesday, October 2 - 7:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m.
One lane will be closed on I-64 eastbound (MP 72 to MP 73.5).
Appropriate signage will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
