Traffic diversion scheduled for US 25 in
Fayette and Scott Counties
Part of the US 25 Reconstruction Project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 20, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a traffic diversion is scheduled to take place for US 25 in Fayette and Scott Counties. The traffic diversion is necessary for surface paving work to be completed.
- Monday, September 23 - traffic will be switched at approximately 10:00 a.m.
Southbound traffic will be moved to the left (fast) lane.
Lanes on the northbound side will be open to traffic.
The traffic diversion will include the entire project area:
- Etter Lane (the north end of the widening project) to KY 1963 (Lisle Road)
- Crestlawn Cemetery to the southern end of the project limits in Fayette County
Employees from ATS Construction and Nally & Gibson will be assisting with the traffic diversion. Appropriate signage will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
