LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 6, 2013) — Central Kentucky media are invited to observe highway crews as they compete on Wednesday, September 11, in the Southeastern Regional Equipment Operators’ Safety and Training Conference.
KYTC will host the regional event, which will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park. The best equipment operators from nine states will meet and compete for top spots.
Each of the 12 highway districts that make up the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has its own competition for crews. The two top winners from each district event advance to the statewide Roadeo.
Two highway equipment operators from District 7 will be competing on Wednesday:
John Towles – Single Axle Road Course (Snow Plow)/1st place – State Roadeo
