Traffic diversion scheduled for US 60 in Woodford County
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 5, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a traffic diversion for US 60 is scheduled. The traffic switch is necessary for the rehabilitation project to progress (median work).
- Today – Thursday, Sept. 5 at approximately 10:00 a.m. - traffic on US 60 will be shifted to the eastbound side from the Franklin/Woodford County line (mile point zero) to mile point 7.562 in Woodford County
The left (fast) lane will be closed in each direction.
One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
- A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH with double fines will be in place for violations that occur within the work zone.
Alternate date and time for the traffic diversion (if deemed necessary):
Friday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
