Cross drain replacement work to take place
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 12, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary closure is scheduled for KY 1939 (Hume-Bedford Pike) in Bourbon County. The closure is necessary for cross drain replacement work to improve drainage along the roadway.
Work will be performed:
- Wednesday, August 14 - 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, August 15 - 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
The location for the work along KY 1939 (Hume-Bedford Pike) will be between mile points 7.7 and 11.5. Appropriate signage will be in place to alert the traveling public.
Suggested alternate routes:
- Exiting Paris - on KY 1939 (Hume-Bedford Pike) take US 27 (the Paris By-Pass to Cynthiana Road), take a left turn onto KY 1876
- Entering Paris - take KY 1876 to US 27 (Cynthiana Road to the Paris By-Pass)
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
