Road closures in Shelby County the week of May 6
Two roadways to be closed for railroad crossing repairs
Louisville, KY (May 2, 2013) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that two state routes in Shelby County will be closed next week to allow for railroad crossing repairs. The R J Corman Railroad Group will be performing track repairs and resurfacing the crossings on KY 2861 and KY 2862.
KY 2861 (Mack Walters Road) will be closed to through traffic between Kentucky Street and Old Mill Road (mile points 5.7 to 6.1). This closure is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7.
KY 2862 (Old Finchville Road) will be closed to through traffic between Victoria Drive and Old Mill Road (mile points 0.7 and 1.1). This closure is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.
Signed detours will be in place for both road closures.
