I-64 ramp to Blankenbaker Parkway closure April 14-20
Ramp to be closed six days for concrete replacement
Louisville, KY (April 10, 2013) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of the closure of the exit ramp from eastbound Interstate 64 to northbound KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway). Contract crews will be replacing cracked concrete pavement on this ramp as part of the Blankenbaker Parkway improvement project.
Northbound access on this ramp at Exit 17 is scheduled for closure from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 until 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. Motorists should follow the signed detour via southbound Blankenbaker Parkway to Bluegrass Parkway to Watterson Trail and then access northbound Blankenbaker Parkway.
Crews are currently replacing the concrete on the ramp from northbound KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway) to westbound Interstate 64. This ramp is closed during this phase of work and is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, April 13.
Gohmann Construction Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $1.76 million. Work is scheduled for completion by June 1, 2013.
