KY 715 in Wolfe County to be closed June 4-7 for paving project
JACKSON, KY – A 2.66-mile section of KY 715 in Wolfe County will be closed for four days this week to allow contractors for the Kentucky Department of Highways to complete a paving project.
The road will be closed between milepoints 9.3 and 11.96, or from 0.7 miles south of Swift Camp Trail to the Menifee County line, from Wednesday, June 4, through Saturday, June 7. Traffic will be restricted between 8 a.m. and approximately 6 p.m. each day. This section of KY 715 is in the Red River Gorge Geological Area and is used by approximately 100 vehicles per day.
No marked detour will be posted, but drivers can use KY 15 and KY 77 via the Nada Tunnel through Powell and Menifee counties as an alternate route. Motorists should plan their trips accordingly.
In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed until another suitable date. This may result in an extension of the closure period.
