Repairs to KY 713 in Menifee County rescheduled for Saturday, April 26
Closure has been repeatedly delayed by inclement winter weather
JACKSON, Ky. – KY 713 in Menifee County will be closed on Saturday, April 26, in order for repairs to be made to a break in pavement.
The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m. so the break can be repaired. The closure point is at milepoint 12.5, near Menifee County High School.
This repair work was first scheduled for January and was later rescheduled for February and again for March, but has been postponed repeatedly because of inclement winter weather.
While the road is closed, drivers can use US 460 as a detour route. Although the current weather forecast indicates that conditions will be suitable for the work on Saturday, inclement weather may yet again result in the closure date being changed. If so, the revised schedule will be announced on the Department of Highways District 10’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Search for “KYTC District 10” on Facebook and “@KYTCDistrict10” on Twitter.
The break developed Sunday night, Jan. 12. Signs and message boards are in place to warn drivers of the hazard, and the affected area is blocked off. The break affects only part of one lane of travel, so the route remains passable with one-lane traffic.
