KY 1057, KY 1639 in Powell County to be closed Saturday, April 26
JACKSON, KY – In order to replace drainage pipes, the Kentucky Department of Highways plans to close KY 1057 and KY 1639 in Powell County on Saturday, April 26.
KY 1057 (High Rock Road) will be closed between milepoints 14.7 and 15.4 for three pipe replacements. This is between KY 3354 (Cat Creek Road) and KY 1639 (South Fork Road). KY 1639 will be closed at milepoint 5.7, which is between KY 11/KY 15 and KY 1057. Both roads will be closed from 8 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m.
No marked detours will be posted. Drivers can use the county-maintained portion of South Fork Road and either KY 213 or KY 3354 as an alternate route. Motorists should plan their trips accordingly.
In case of inclement weather, the closure will be postponed until another suitable day.
