Delays likely on KY 82 in Estill County this weekend for bridge construction
JACKSON, KY – Motorists using KY 82 in Estill County should be prepared for a traffic pattern change and possible delays this weekend, as repairs to a bridge will necessitate the use of a one-lane detour.
A new deck is being installed on the KY 82 bridge over Twin Creek at milepoint 1.52. While this work is ongoing, traffic will be detoured onto a single-lane diversion. Traffic will be controlled by temporary signals from 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, until 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2. This will affect travel between Irvine and Clay City.
Vehicles wider than 14 feet will not be able to use the detour and will have to find an alternate route.
