Applicable Airport Zoning Laws

Kentucky law requires that all structures built on or near an airport, as defined by KRS 183.861, must be approved by the Kentucky Airport Zoning Commission.

Penalties: KRS 183.990

IMPORTANT: Any construction or alteration to a structure requires that two forms (TC 56-50 & FAA Form 7460-1) be submitted 90-days prior to the date the proposed construction or alteration is to begin.

NOTE: All structures must have a permit from the Department of Housing, Building and Construction.
