2008-07 Jefferson 5-8203.00 Billtown Road

QUESTION: The current ad for Billtown Road (5-8203.00) shows an estimated fee of $650,000. However, the construction costs in the study for the spot improvements at the areas listed in the bulletin are less than $1 million. Can you clarify how the fee was determined?

ANSWER: The Construction Estimates in the Study are as follows:

Billtown at Michael Edward and Fairground $660,000

Billtown at Mary Dell $ 75,000

Billtown between Vintage Creek and Colonnades $180,000

Billtown at Lover's Lane $330,000

Billiton at Easum $200,000

TOTAL $1,445,000

The estimate Phase I and Phase II design costs for these spot improvements range from $150,000 to $250,000 per location with the exception of Billtown at Mary Dell which is estimated at $15,000. Phase II design is to be negotiated at the end of Phase I and added by contract modification.
